Penmaen Dewi

By BillyGoatGruff
Had a week's holiday at the start of July and took a jaunt to a great campsite in Sir Benfro, at Bae Caerfai.

Fully intended to shoot a lot, but in the end I (we) just went splat and I hardly touched the camera, which, in a way, was kind of unburdening for us both.
I shot about fourteen serious frames in all.

For this one I had already selected the location and was well set up.
Everything checked, everything levelled, everything checked again, and again, just waiting for the right moments to arrive.
Shot off a few frames, changed lenses to shoot some more, checked the aperture again (or so I though).....erm.
Oops!
f/4!!!
By some miracle I managed to retain some amazing depth of field in this one.
Surprised the heck out of me!

Just goes to show that you can check and double check and triple check and still miss something utterly fundamental!

Had a nice holiday, though.
Started a new job the day after we got back......proving to be a very steep learning curve with the new software I'm required to use and very exhausting.

Thanks for dropping in.

Impressive sky, Bill. I tend to use manual exposure all the time now... and lost count of the number of times I've not checked! SadSadSad

Certainly feel you have done well to get the depth you have at f4 Bill. Good comp and tones too
We all do a one time or another, shot some frames and then realise you missed something obvious
Good to here you have started a new job
