Rannoch Blues

By pmorgan
Bit of a double meaning in the title here.

Seconds before this, a beautiful rainbow was cast over 4 deer running majestically across the scene in the distance. But you won’t see any photographic evidence to support this, even though Richard, Neil and I all had our camera gear with us.

The reason for this is that it turns out “Tokyo Drifter” aka Neil(Javam) aint so slick on his pins as he is on his wheels!!!! He only went and got himself stuck in the most unforgiving bog imaginable! The loyalty that both myself and Richard showed as we turned our backs on a “once in a lifetime” photo opportunity to help a fellow tog was commendable to say the least!!

Needless to say, by the time we freed said speedfreek, the moment had past, the rainbow was gone, and the deer out of sight - but I’m not bitter! Wink

Have a cracking weekend!

Rgds
Paul

A true tog would have taken shots of the deer and then turned around to help. A true Rowardennan Meet participant would have taken shots of the deer, turned around, taken shots of the stuck fellow participant, and then helped him... Wink

Teacher says 'must try harder next time'

infact....not only dident you pap Neil, but you failed to take the good photos first, then pap him before you helped him out. All together a pathetic show of Rowardennan spirit Tongue

I think Paul has learnt his lesson now. Next time, he will be far more selfish, in fact he may push said chauffeur in the bog just to make up for his actions this time!

Are you sure Neil did this NOT on purpose? Knowing that he could not get out his camera out in time and grab the shot himself - not wanting you two to get the deer and the rainbow...???
Just a thought. Smile

Anyway, Rannoch Blues and its story is not to be forgotten!

Well what can I say, maybe I need to lay off the pies. I had stopped sinking by the time the deer showed up so they could have taken the shots without having to go fishing for the keys afterwards as well.

Conrad is on the money, but I am grateful that I took 2 passengers, who put their lift home first Wink

My boots are now called George and Michael, thanks to a comment from StrathB, but you will have to work out the reason for yourself Wink

A rainbow and deer would have added to the shot Paul, but still good as is.
