Windset

By Birdseye
Beautiful clouds and sunset at Lytham St.Anns on Friday night and it was changing so quickly. Hence a second version.

The clouds and the texture on the wall of the windmill caught my eye

(Slight artefact in the shadows in the bottom left corner cloned out. Otherwise straight from the camera without modification)

f5, 1/60sec, 10mm

Always great to show your building painted with colour from the sky.
Like others said a great capture, did you have to wait, was it opportunity or just genius?
Having watched Sculpture Diaries last night you would have been fascinated by a cross of 4 very large sections of sewage pipes aligned in an American desert aligned with Solstices. The painting of light on plain concrete surfaces where the concret almost mirrors and gives focal point to the expanse of sky is what you have done with this piece of Land Art.

Many thanks for all your clicks, and thanks for the kind comments.
My first RC! thanks Mike for top-click!
Much appreciated to one and all and glad you liked the capture. It was unusual light that evening.
Shay - it was an opportunity, zero genius, but we did spend 3 hours at Lytham St.Annes so some waiting. (I will check out C4 download for the program - thanks)
Regards to you all,

Thanks Tracey for your preference. v1 has the colours in the sky and v2 has more drama - had difficulty deciding.
