Water Rail

By BlackNinja
Thanks for all your comments on the Robin.

Todays shot is of a Water Rail . I have been told that these are quite elusive and hard to get shots of . This one was taken outside the waterscrape hide at rutland.

Both dad and I got almost identical shots of this one although he thought mine ws a bit sharper . Shame about reed but it couldnt be avoided

Thanks for looking

Excellent shot nicely framed with some good detail. Like you say "shame about the reed" but that's the nature of wildlife, it has to be one of the most challenging areas of photography and you are rising to that challenge very well indeed. Keep it up,
Fran

Awesome Charlie; very well done indeed.

I might be in a minority, but I quite like the reed in the fg. It adds that bit of natural context - and shows how well you have controlled the focus & D0F.
