Unfortunately the feared for cold snap is forecast fornext week. One handy tip I read in the latest BBC wildlife mag is that for frogspawn you can put some bubble wrap over the top to insulate it if the weather does turn. I realise it's not quite the same for toad spawn as it'a laid in strings, but might be worth a try.
I think toad spawn is usually laid a little deeper than frog spawn which tends to float on the surface, so in theory it should be able to handle the cold a little better.
