Hard luck Ade, even though I understand the reasons as a pro you probably don't use a filter.......

Why bother buying l quality glass then sticking a cheap and nasty uv filter on the front, now that is a no brainer !

Who said anything about 'Cheap and nasty'. Tiffen UV protectors are anything but, I would venture.

I put a 90 hoya uv on the front of my first expensive lens, but then you have to think all the work gone into that lens to make it good, then you go and stick a uv filter on the front. Much better off putting on a lens hood to protect the front element.

Not a good idea my wife really lost her sense of humour when I got my girlfriend pregnant.

Never got this thing about leaving forums and deleting accounts.

Sorry guys !I only found out when I looked at my twitter this morning. Anyway its better than seeing later and crying infront of the kids and the missus ! lol

The macro feature did inspire me, but I don't think I've got the skill or the patience for it.

I've been using Sky + to record it, but it didn't pick it up this week. Last week it was on Saturday and Sunday. Oh well, I am sure I'll find it on t'internet somewhere.

About seven or eight years ago I took photos of a friends sisters wedding as a favour. I didn't want too, I wasn't even a keen amutuer like I am now. I had a Canon AE-1 and a 50mm,and a 135mm lenses. The bride and groom phots were fine, where I let myself down was the group shots, you really have to take control there. They were very happy with the photos, but with a little more planning of the group shots, they would have been so much better. As long as you explain to them like I did, that you are no pro, you are doing it as a favour, and if anything goes wrong, not to blame you, you should be fine.

I went out for a new Epson printer on Saturday, I have always had epson printers. They didn't have the one I wanted, but got recomended the Canon IP4500, what a result. for a start it is so much quiter than my previous Epson r300. Much quicker and better quality too. Why I stuck with Epson so long I don't know. Bye bye Epson, it looks like Canon for me in the future.

I use clips frames, they come in all sizes you will need. I don't mind them, but my wife isn't so keen, but seeing as there are two walls in full of clip frames in the house she can't hate them too much.
