Against the clock

10 minutes after this the heavens opened and the the sky was good old English grey.

I spotted this scene and then took a further 5 minutes to find somewhere to turn around and go back, then somewhere to park and then the best composition, all the while knowing I was running out of time, I love the adrenaline of these types of scenes, more often than not by the time you get into position the scene has changed or gone away.

Beautiful light--for me this image brings back old memories of summer thunderstorms while harvesting hay on a cattle ranch in Nevada.

Sounds familiar, I usually end up missing it, but it's great when it comes off. This is my favourite kind of light, so dramatic. The bales are the perfect complement to it
