I've got a couple of similar images but have never thought a mono conversion, may give it a go now though as this works well for me.

the mono gives this an abstract feel to it. The patterns and grasses give a good range of tones.

I like it because it is very relaxing to look at. I like the sensual lines of the sand dune, and the contrast to the upright shapes of the seagrass.
