Bee Orchid

By bobspicturebox
The Bee Orchid one of my favorite orchids to find in grassy meadows this is a first for our meadows at Monksbrook Southampton UK. The bee Orchid gets its name as it attracts a male bee and so disperses the pollen its not often you find one before the bees have note the two pollen sacks waiting to be brushed.

A beautiful wild orchid, beautifully captured and accompanied by an instructive narrative.
