The foreground slope of the rock gives a strange feeling of this being the end of the world with the water about to pour over the edge!!

I think the lighting too makes this a very atmospheric shot.

There's a certain feeling about this one Dave, the sky is quite heavy and the rocks are in need of some time spent to fix the dodge and burn holes.
I seem to be knocking your images, but I was so excited by the fine mono image you put up, the last two are disappointing when I know what you can do.
I hope the golf goes well and you wont be too down on reading my comment. This will be fine with some extra effort.

Very eerie sky, and if those houses weren't there it could be another planet - very interesting and craggy rock formations. Love the tidal pools that are so much more visible in the large version.
