Even More abstracted

This entry is a follow up to yesterday. Another couple of my attempts at abstract photography. These were done in the same session as yesterday's attempts.

This one is a simple construction. I just took a shot of the sun shining through the blinds on our conservatory window. Then I selected the four small windows one at a time and changed the hue. I had to play with the levels a bit but otherwise a simple one to do. So simple that it gave me courage to get more sophisticated.

This one started life as the sun from the window and door in my office shining onto the carpet. I originally just used selections to add coloured stripes to the brighter parts of the image. I adjusted the levels first to increase the contrast. Then I added a textured layer of some weathered concrete and made the layer style "multiply". I am not happy with this one. I think I need to go back and make the whole image a bit darker.

The third image for the day goes back to the cyclamen shown yesterday. This is the same treatment but with the texture different and the cyclamen reversed on the page. Not entirely sure which of the two I prefer. Any thoughts ?

Peter
