New year - new organisation

4 Jan 2012 4:25PM   Views : 5881 Unique : 280

I have been a photographer for around 40 years now. Been through film, darkrooms ( cold and draughty ones ! ), manual cameras, cokin filters etc etc. Now fully fledged digital processing fan, who couldn't live without Photoshop. Over the years I have set up lots of gallery type websites and other photo related ones, always trying out new ideas. The thing is though, that i have got so busy trying out new ideas and techniques that I never got round to doing enough regular image taking.

This is all going to change in 2012 ! Grin

I have decided to get myself organised and make myself take more images.

I got a new canon 60D in the summer and can't continue to waste it. I have done a couple of things and made some important decisions. Amongst those are the following.......

1. I have decided to do a Monthly Project throughout this year.
2. I have also decided to start a project 52 ( I would do a Project 365 but I want to be realistic and avoid the rubbish in some 365s
3. I have set up a website to describe my progress and keep together all of the ideas and inspirations that I find along the way.
4. I am going to use ePhotoZine much more as a core community to seek support

I will welcome any ideas and suggestions that anyone reading this might have to help. I see so many good photographers on here and read so many helpful comments that I feel optimistic. Please just send me messages ( or e mail me at peter@bonvilston.org.uk ).

In the meantime, here is a recent image to give a feel for my style.....
