St Hilda's

Black & white version of St Hilda's Church on the Headland in Hartlepool.

The current St Hilda's church was built in the late C12th, and is named after the first abbess of a double monastery of monks and nuns, which later moved to Whitby.

St Hilda's contains architecture of different periods and styles but the nave and tower are the oldest sections.

One of my favourite Churches (my confirmation was there - lots of years ago Blush).
