Segur Le Chateau

First one from this years holiday in France, and first as an e2 member.

I've been working through some lightroom tutorials and although this is a vast improvement on the original, I'm not sure I've got it yet.

I started from scratch several times over, and this is the best of the snapshots I saved. Am I too much like a kid in a sweetshop?

I took it into Photoshop to check it and reduced it from there.

I've lost sharpness during my uploads before so it will be interesting to see what happens with this.

I've given you enough ammo so all comments are welcome. LOL

Nice scene, good exposure.

Loss of sharpness after re sizing is normal, - so sharpen after you re size

I wonder what you're not sure about because this is a beautiful scene and looks just fine.

Ah yes, but you didn't see the original!

I think I feel I've overdone the development of the sky. When I took the picture it was the houses and the river that captured my attention. Now I feel they are subordinate to the sky. Yet the sky was deeply blue and the original made it a washed out turquoise.

I just feel I'm missing something and haven't worked out what yet
