Amur Leopard

By baclark
Hi everyone, thanks again for the good wishes for Tabitha after being attacked by a fox. She is slowly improving day by day and a super soaker water pistol is on order from a well known online site!

Today is another big cat from WHF in Kent, an Amur Leopard, I think this is the female Xizi.
With her partner Artur they are playing a vital role in keeping the Amur leopard species alive, they are part of the comprehensive Amur Leopard Conservation Programme, being 2 of around 170 in captivity in a carefully managed European Endangered Species Breeding Program. They had a pair of cubs about 18 months ago.
This is the world’s most endangered subspecies of cat.

Available as a mono in V2.
Have a great weekend all.
Barbara

Barbara, WOW! this is fantastic!... so spot on ..excuse the 'pun' the details and eye contact, and the look "of hey you, shall we purrr?"
great colours and the background helps the colour of Xizi stand out so much, amazing beauty! forgot.. both superb could not possibly seperate..both winners!

One very handsome feline! Wonderful image of her. Prefer V1, the coloured version, so no surprise there! Pity you can't introduce her to that fox on behalf of cats everywhere!!

Excellent shot — it just needs a touch more depth of field to get the eyes and muzzle both sharp. #1's my favourite; the black and white needs the contrast pushing further to compensate for the lack of colour.
