I have several types of Allium in the garden and am very fond of these tough plants which grow from bulbs and are related to onions. These in the various images are all quite small in size, growing no higher than around 10-12 inches in the case of V4, the others around 6 unches. They are unaffected by the weather and once their flowers have passed have some very attractive seedheads on offer, so have a long period of display before vanishing back into the soil to rest until the following year.
All images captured in situ, apart from, V1 which was taken using a flash against the black dish.
