Puffin on the Treshnish Islands

Puffin on the Treshnish Islands by hrsimages

W went on a trip from Mull to Lunga (I think) a few years ago, you cold touch the Puffins they were that close.

Good try, I think I prefer the first one although not sure what its about.

Golden Eagle

Nicely caught. We held a meet there a couple of years ago, really enjoyed it.

I like this, it is harder to make these birds look sharp than people think.

Red Kite on a chilly march morning

Red Kite on a chilly march morning by askoolumr

Hi Rishikesh,
thanks for the comment on my Kite shot. I have been going to Gigrin for a number of years but still waiting for it to be warm and sunny on my visits Wink

Agree with what been said abut the crop and uderwing darkness.

The mod still looks a little dark on my screen, I have CS3 which allows me to pull detail out of the shadows, makes editing this type of shot a little easier.

Santas little helper

Hi Richi, hope you have all had a good Christmas.

Lovely shot of Henry, nice smile, good eye detail.

Is this the same image you have on your workstation? I think it would be really good with the black removed.

Common Jay

Common Jay by Gezina

It was worth the effort, well taken.

Chester Zoo

Well taken Frank. I have been 4 or 5 times and never managed a shot yet.

peeping by pks

I like the way the background makes the squirrel stand out.

Being Watched

Being Watched by discreetphoton

Agree with the fact that it was hard to see who Jay was.

The detail in the tail is good and once I found Jay I liked the way it was hidden. I think It would of been better if there was only one image of Jay, it looks to me as if there are two.

Father and Son

Father and Son by imander

Well taken.

I like the lighting along with the shot in mono. The pose of the son is but I would have liked to have the father looking at little more towards the camera.

I am just being picky her for the sake of the critique.

Big Brown Eyes

Big Brown Eyes by Robin_TB

I agree with the background being distracting and adding nothing to the shot. Also it would have been better if the dog was facing you.

An even bigger challenge would have been to try and capture her running, not easy but well worth the effort and discarded images.

I like the way the ears are one up, one down, it made me smile.

Bolillo by HectorRivera

A good shot of the dog and must admit the dog did look sad.

There were a couple of things that niggled me. These are personal choices for me rather than faults with the shot. The angle seemed wrong so in the mod I flipped it. There seemed to be too much of the dog so I cropped in closer and the background was intrusive so I blurred it a bit.

These are personal choices; others make think the exact opposite.

Look Into My Eyes

Look Into My Eyes by jeanie

Three good shots.

For me it is v2, as soon as the image appears it hits you. The expression and reflection in the eyes is good. If I have to find a negative it would be the very, very slightly blown out highlights, that could be my screen rather than your image.

On my Doorstep

On my Doorstep by Nick_w

I like this shot, the only downside I can see is it seems to slant a little left to right.
