WEll done , I have tried to get a night shot of this magnificent building without success.Did you do this on a long exposure/ High ISO? Also amazed you achieved this with not a soul or vehicle in sight.did you take it at "silly o'clock" Whatever , it is a fine image of one of Glasgow's beautiful buildings.

Excellent night shot. Very well controlled exposure. Gives an interesting dimension to the building.

Thanks for the comments maryg. The shot was taken at 8.30 on a Wednesday evening and I only had to wait 5 minutes for the square to clear. Exposure was 1 sec at f4.0 with ISO at 100. My Canon 40D was on a tripod and was set for live view and 2-sec self-timer with -2/3 exposure comp. The building was very well lit. Shots of other buildings have had to be up to 30 sec exposure.

Good shot - the building lends itself to being photographed. Just one point - it's the City Chambers, not the chamber of commerce.

Many thanks fraser. I stand corrected on the building name - it's my commercial background that made me call it that!!
