Not a day to cross the north sea

By bradpete
Took this picture today at the mouth of the River Tyne, the ferry to Norway had just left the Quay, looking out to sea I think a rough crossing, the cross river ferry is just going behind the big boat, it was raining with a heavy mist, not much colour at all.

Like this one Peter,it is well composed and despite the poor weather conditions, you have caught the ferry very well.I like the cranes in the background.

a feeling of nostalgia to this one. It's 18 yrs since I "came ashore", but I still remember sailing up the Tyne, and the sadness at seeing the redundant shipyards and cranes. Fond memories of Newcastle and Blyth though

Hey there Pete... This almost looks like a big sibling to over here in Florida...in my home the ferry cuts the same way...and believe it or not... In the colder parts of the year hear.. we get the same light and fog you have captured.. Nice realness in you shot.

Brrrr, it looks like a chilly day for going for a crossing. The sense of the weather comes across well.
