I was playing with taking some pics in manual mode. I took several different angles and used different lighting. This is one of my favorites. I'd like to know what more experienced photographers think of this and would love to see some mods. Thanks! Smile

Its an attractive shot Brenda.

The light is very soft, meaning little or no shadows, so you get a result thats low in contrast.

Nothing really you can do about this when shooting except use a different light, angle, etc.

Its a good idea if you can to isolate the single flower rather than include others, especially the lighter one behind in this image. Think about composition, and when there that hint of a flower "looking" in one direction, leave a little more space in the direction its looking, at the left in this shot.
Keep an eye out for distractions, like the vertical white line in the background.

Overall, it can be a little brighter, - more exposure. A little contrast can help, when blacks are rendered closer to actual black.

I have loaded a mod with all Ive mentioned, making the Tulip stand alone, and added a small amount of sharpening. See what you think.

Hope this helps,

Ooooh, Willie! I love it! I see what you mean. The only thing is that some of the softness seems to have gotten lost in the mod????? Is it impossible to have the brightness and the softness?

Thank you so much! Smile
