Red Arrows Opening Bournemouth Air Festival 31-8-2012

By brian1208
What a glorious day yesterday was, we were in the right spot on the clifftop, the weather was lovely and the show fabulous (and free).

The Arrows were flying a formation of seven this time in memory of the two colleagues they lost last year, one of them after this show last year.

A fine display captured very finely indeed Brian, and certainly an image which I greatly admire.

I love the impression of depth in this photo, caused by the combination of perspective and the light and shadow on the smoke trails. Really good shot.

Thanks for all the comments (and votes), they really are appreciated.
Matt, you didn't do so well weatherwise today, how were the displays affected?
Trev, I agree, I think they got it just about right as a memorial flight
Helen and Julia, thanks for the Awards, I don't get many these days so its always nice to see them Smile

Brian, fantastic shot, the light on the smoke trails is great. Very jealous as I live in Parkstone and have not been able to make it down as working in Southampton A&E!
Stupendous!
