Award Shortlist

British Wildlife Competition Awards

By BrianSS
Earlier this year I entered the British Wildlife Photography Awards. Although I wasn't a winner my image was one of 300 selected out of the several thousands of entries. I didn't relise at the time but the competition was open to professional photographers too, including Andy Rouse who had a couple H/C. My image was to be printed in a book and I have just received it and what a beautiful book it is too.

It just goes to show that you don't have to go to the ends of the earth to get a good image, this shot was taken in my back garden of a Blue Tit just after it had left the nest.

I'm really pleased!!!

You should be well pleased - it's a stunning image and to be one of the 300 selected is an achievement in itself, irrespective of whether it was a 'winner' or not!
