Peyto Lake

By BrianSS
This is a 5 shot - hand held - portrait panorama of Peyto Lake in the Canadian Rockies. There is a viewing platform (to the right and about a 20 minute hike down) where you can see the lake (well most of it) but normally full of tourists! However I managed to speak to a local guide who told me that if you hike further up the mountain there is a much better viewpoint where you can see almost all the lake and not many coach tourists have the time to get to. So we did hoping we didn'ít come across any bears, thankfully we didn't. The view was absolutely stunning and we had the view more or less to ourselves and the lake is that colour. It was one of those location where you don't want to leave. Smile

This is a lovely panorama of a place that I love very much. I grew up in Calgary and visit his area many times. For those you have not visited this area it is paradise.

Great shot and using portrait gave you so much more to see.
