Stac Pollaidh Western Highlands Scotland just after Sunrise.

By briantjjones
Blended 3 bracked shots taken just after sunrise on a cold end of March 2013 morning. I was trying to capture the cloud details in the sky as well as bringing out the warmth of where the sun was highlighting the near hillside and top of Stac Pollaidh. Critques welcome

I think you have managed to achieve what you set out to do very nice image. I have tried adding a fine vignette to the edge of the image but it didn't appear to make much difference.

Hi,

I can't say much because I wasn't there to see if there were any more cloud formations higher that the end of the frame. It may be the season where the land is not green, so for me the half bottom of the picture is, as you said, not your subject, - unless I have this wrong - a missed chance to turn your lens even higher and get a snap of more clouds in the frame. If the mountain sides were green I think you would have had an interesting blend of colours in the picture, blue, green, white as is but for now it does not look that much impressive. I can't even see the silhouette of a deer...
