'What do You Think of The New Carpet?'

By briantjjones
Another autumn image of part of the Denali National Park in Alaska. Autumn colours only last for a couple of weeks before being covered by the snows of winter. The colours on the valley floor are made up of blueberry, wild cranberry and other berry low growing bushes. Tha Alaska Range of mountails provide a stunning backdrop. The light was superb as the sun broke through the clouds causing swaths of light and shadow. The scale of this place is unbelievable, from where I took this image it's probably in excess of ten miles to the base of the mountains. Can't wait to go back Smile

Thanks for taking the time to view and hope you enjoy the view.

Regards, Brian.

Wow! What an extraordinary and beautiful image! I love the dappled light and colour contrast. The watery lead-in is also remarkable.

Images as beautiful as this don't come along very often, and when they do they leave me thinking "Wow"

What a striking image with the rich carpet of colours in the fore and middle grounds, backed up by the snowy mountains: The colours here are so rich, as I also recall from watching trucking programmes which took one through this sort of country.

For the first time I feel sorry for my wife Brian.
I would be as tired as her,
watching her from my armchair
hovering a carpet this size !!
Good shot.
(Now get rid of it before she sees it.
Next thing will be she will want to buy a bigger hoover !!)

From your narrative, I can sense the passion behind this beautiful image.
That's a very symbolic photograph of the region, during this short season, with the low lying fruit bushes in their Autumn garb.
The snow covered mountains look very impressive, creating a magnificent backdrop.
"Superb"
