Ah, that'll be the converging lines from the wide angle lens.
Next time must try to level it a bit more as it does skew quite a bit, if I remember correctly I think I was placing the tree where I wanted it in the frame so the abbey ended up off centre.

I did try and edit it a little to straighten in pp but it didn't feel right, or not as right as this one Smile

It was very very overgrown and run down but, as you say, with that comes lots of interesting angles.

We were indulging in our first geocaching trip, gets us out into the fresh air and gives me a chance for some photos en route. Should encounter a lot more places like this which I would normally bypass unaware.

Thanks, forgot to say, it looks quite warm but it was pretty darn cold....thought I would up the shutter speed and shoot into the sun and was pleased with the result.

Thanks all, the Autumn colours make it easier to get a good picture.

Must admit though that this one came out exactly as I wanted it, only addition I could want would be an early morning and some light rays / dust visible.

    Thanks all,

I tried a square crop and the balance didn't seem as good to me, I have one from above with a square crop I will upload tomorrow.

Quote:Great Shot! I was in Gib myself last year and almost lost my camera bag to an ape! Monkeys deserve more votes than they get!!!!

I had my bag double clipped around my chest and waist just in case, it looked like I was just about to sky dive...

A lot of it is but the main part is pretty much clear, the cranes are still there, for quite a few more years I think.
