It's just a long exposure Bev, no secret tricks involved!
Settings were 1 second @ F16 using a Lee 0.6 ND grad if that's any help.

Not sure of the crop you've chosen for this dave, looked really good on the back of the camera from what I remember... but I don't think widescreen really suits it.

Nice... although I'm not 100% convinced by the selenium setting, think I'd prefer it as a mono myself.

Thanks everyone for your clicks n' comments, this did much better than I was expecting - didn't think a 'daytime' landscape would get much attention.

Quote:I love this. I also have a love for infrared photography, especially with a digital camera. I can only get black and white infrared shots. How did u colour this? Photoshop?
Do you have some tips for me please on how to colour my infrared B/W's ? Thankyou.
    Mr Phish

Ahh... I had the exact same problem!

It all depends on what IR filter you're using - if you have one which is completely black when you look through it then it's blocking all visable light & only letting in InfraRed - so your shots will only be black and white. You need one that's very dark red when you look through it, Hoya R72 filter is one & Cokin P007 is another (which this was taken with). These let in some visable light & give you the false colour effect.

With this one I left the camera on auto white balance when I took it & this was the result - have only adjusted the levels a bit & removed a slight magenta colour cast, otherwise it's pretty much as it appeared on the back of the camera. I'm by no means an expert in this - this is pretty much my first serious effort at it.

    'Tis much fun though Smile

I was pleasantly surprised with these two shots, didn't think I'd get anything decent at all at the time.
