Like the reflection of V2, good shots, for those with longer memory (o.k. older) crying out for someone to 'do a Harry Worth' on these doors.

  • Goodwood Revival 2011

Surprised you chose this one, would be better as either, a very close up of driver, or full car, reckon 692/4/702/3,with a tad of cropping, are much better shots.

  • Penstemon

Excellent V1, not sure about V2 though, not the most attractive of insects!

  • bless him

Super shot, excellent detail and texture, we've got quite a few, thanks to the pond, have to be carefull mowing the lawn!
Have a good day Tues, looks like you'll have 'Sir Lamiel' and 'Britannia', two good ones!

  • Double trouble.

Well seen, reckon the hinge will fail first.

  • do they never stop?

They are obviously shameless! Very well caught, excellent lighting and detail.

  • Take us to your leader ...

Very nice shot, appealing expressions, weell caught. As an aside, where in Hfds, I lived there for a long time, and return whenever possible.

  • Don't worry, I'm here.

Superb, sharp, excellent detail, and the facial expressions are spot on. Really appealing pic.

V2 what is the guy on the right on! Reminds of a 70's wrestler, can anyone remember his name? Good record shots.

  • so many taking part

Good series, not sure the house is that important, they did have houses back then, but if you want to be picky I doubt that the grass would be cut neatly! I think the guy with the cap might be from 'health and safety' there are a lot of people with long sharp sticks, and I'm sure they need supervising!!

  • King Abus.

Electricity generators have feelings too! don't dismiss them. Good shot, maybe a bit more corrosion needed.

  • All Saints'

Like it, very good pov, looked at Hdr mod it is very effective, and have to be honest, I think I prefer the original, 'as nature intended' .

  • Mr Chaffinch

Good shots, that is a one very fat bird.

  • I never asked.

V1! you are a braver man than me!
    Great shots.

  • preservation order Yew Tree

Good set of shots, don't think you would pick out waste bin on camera screen even if you had looked. However 'look at the subject, plan the shot' beforhand or while looking through the view finder would have brought it to your attention. Slapped wrist for that one!
As an aside I've studied these and previous shots and some ne'er do well appears to have stolen our glorious English flag while you were taking your pics.

  • A Nutty Pose

V1 for me, excellent shots in less than ideal light conditions.

  • Guessing game.

Saw V1 & 2 and thought you had been round our way at 'chucking out' time on a Saturday night!
    Good shots.

  • the rear

Very nice composition, does look a dull day, but you've caught the textures of the stone well. Surprised what looks like a rendered white wall was allowed,on a building of this age. Good shot.
    • 19 Aug 2011 8:53AM
  • You wanted a pose?

Got the photos! that's the good bit, regardless of any 'noise' (not obvious to me) these two are super shots and well worth the effort.
    Great work, well done.
Hope today has been a good day.

  • another view

This is better, shots, without under, over or sideways exposure followed by photoshopping to death, have produced really good shots, and in camera where they should be. good to see you back on track. As an aside, not sure if the wind vane is stuck. From the furl of the flag, and the shape of the sloping almost triangular section of the tower I feel the aerodynamic effect, on a gusty day could cause an anomaly between the two. Good shots Ann.

  • stained glass

Very nice pics Ann, I like the verticals as they are, as already pointed out it does need a tad cw rotation, the (the shelf under the window is a good guide). But a very good record shot of a beautiful window.

  • sheep

Quote:IIf you crop the left away Annie improves vastly Ann concentrating the eye on the drinking ewe and removes the blown it simplifies and makes the image less busy to the eye

I have to go with Richard on this one, very simple solution, no need for photoshop or loads of technical stuff, but it makes the picture.
I can see you are trying different things, but don't forget the shot has to be in the camera, not the computer. Never forget histograms etc. are the servants not the master.
