Good shot, looks like the sort of bloke you'd see riding a Kawasaki!Grin

Great pov, like the two stalks 'framing' the sun, super shot.

  • Rumpy-pumpy

Super shot, very sharp, also like the title.

  • Great expectations.

Asked older relation who is ex navy, he reckons it's o.k. to have a bit of rust, but then again, He was on a North Sea minesweeper during WW2! Like the reflections works well.

Super colours, and the eye finishes it off beautifully.

  • Oz "Peregrine Falcon" Male

Always reckon it's better to get a shot, rather than miss it because it's not perfect. Ignore the wire and it is a super sharp shot.

Tell him not to lose that girlfriend Bill, anyone who chooses a yellow lab is worth hanging on to. Gets my vote!

  • Through a table lightly

Not the most obvious subject, but a good shot, like the water droplets (we've got plenty of those after yesterday's monsoon!)

  • A mixed bag

Good series, I'm going for the Gull, one of our non glamorous species, and too often ignored.

  • Fast Mover

Excellent shot, very sharp, might have tried to get him a bit earlier, without 'feeding bloke' in the shot, but that's being picky, and maybe not possible.

  • "Last Light on the River"

Super shot, not the most obvious subject, nice one.

Quote:I wasnt that impressed with Liberty's when we visited last year but you seem to have had a good day and this a great shot

I would guess not as big or impressive as the centre near Andover, but the guys doing the display, were aware of those taking pics, and very good at positioning the birds, to help get the best shots. Also good for parents as they are both late eighties and not as mobile as they once were!

Very good shot Anne, says a lot about some people's willingness to support a good cause, whatever the weather. Good one.

  • Barn Owl (Tyto alba)

Super shots, do like V3 and V5 are unusual 'poses' and work well for me, very nice! Know what you mean about The Forest, the ageing ancestors live there, and I still love going back. Next visit will include a ride to Andover I think.

I,m not a horse enthusiast, but this is a very good shot, captured a very soulfull look in the eye.

  • Young Waterfowl

Really enjoyable set of pics, lived near Slimbridge for years but didn't visit! My loss I think.

  • can you resist em

Good pics, I think that had you dropped a bit to lose the (slight) burnout on the penguins, you would have darkened, and perhaps lost the very nice clarity of the water and reflections. Swings and roundabouts I feel. I would go for it as they are, very nice shots.

Good shot, like the contrast of bird against background, nice one.

  • last of the series

Congrats on last night, well deserved I would guess from your pics on this site. Prefer V3 today, sorry can't give you any super technical reason, but it just appeals the most.

Not a bad shot, think I might have walked down there myself.

Super shot, the location is spot on.

  • Narrowboat

Very well framed shot, with a nice atmosphere. Good one, as an, aside putting on my anorak head, this is a narrowboat, and it upsets the purists no end if they are called barges!

Quote:Fantastic movement shot, well lit and well balanced. Did he get to reach you? IB

No he didn't, swans make lots of noise and flap a lot, but if you stand your ground they will usually go away!
