Weasel (Mustela Nivalis)

By brownbear1991
This photo was taken at the British Wildlife Centre when I was on a day trip with my Grandad (Maiwand) and my Uncle Pete (Peter Oak).

This was a capture that took a while to achieve because this particular Weasel looked like he was practising for the marathon because all he did was run around and around his enclosure going between the two areas of his enclosure. It was a team effort to try and get him with us trying to keep a track of where he was not easy, but I got him in the end.

Excellent capture Victoria. Been waiting to see this (and some of the other lovely shots you have). You did well here-- he really did move like greased lightning. You did better than me as you got the latin name. Clever Clogs !!!!

Stunning capture Vicky, not the easiest of our mammals to capture, like lightning. Superb eye and a great shot, better than Grandads i'd say.

So much fun to watch and so difficult to capture, but this is a great shot; focus and colour are both spot on; good detail and I like the pose watching what's going on
