Hell of the East Midlands 4

Alternative title could be 'My poor camera sensor, all that dust!'

4th from the event on Sunday, hope you're not too bored with them, might be one more after this, but about 100 of them on my website.

It does look as if I've added grain or used a high ISO on this, but it's purely the effect of all the dust from the bikes, cars and motorbikes in front and around.

Richard, I was right amongst the action, head was right next to the wheels Smile, I just moved back when the cars were coming past.

You sort of get to know where you can safely sit that close on a course.

Super composition considering how quickly these things happen. As Richard and Alun say you can almost taste the dust.

Thanks Fraser, knew that they would probably use this side of the track as it had a very slight slope down towards my side, so it was a matter of seeing the groups in the distance and trying to lock onto them as they came towards me, quite often, there will be several groups within groups, hence the square crop here as there was another rider in a previous group in the frame, unbalancing it. With road racing, it is tricky as you do need to crop.
As for the dust, I can still taste it!
