The Traveller

A change today. Picture taken near Galle / Sri Lanka. The man was sat on the fishing nets and under a fishing boat just taking the world in. I didn't speak with him but my guide thinks he is Dutch and said he visits Galle in November to January each year and moves on to other parts of the island for the rest of the year. The light was very bright so I added some textures and bits to the picture.

He is deep in thought Tom and you have captured that very well.
Nice use of the textures, could well have been taken on a film camera.
I wonder who or what WP is ?

Once you get out of Columbo and the poverty on every street corner, Sri Lanka is a beautiful country, especially in the tea lands. I regret declining my one and only chance to ride an elephant but it was a long way up there! An excellent capture. I wonder if he goes down for the winter and goes home for the summer. He doesn't look poor at all.
