Yes, I think I prefer version 2 too - less cluttered.

On a personal note (and probably just me!), I'm not sure about your choice of background colour. I think I would have tried black or grey. As I said, just an opinion and probably just me! Grin

V2 for me Jocelia no surrounding background distraction!

Its peculiar... when I had V2 as my original and only upload, I was getting feedback saying the image was too blurred. That led me to upload V2. Now the preference is v2 (the original). I prefer V2 of the the two as well.

Thanks for the feedback, I shall go with my gut from now on! GrinGrinGrin

V2 for me, simply because it doesn't have any background distractions. What you have done with the blurring centres attention on the spider, and works well. What I feel doesn't work so well is keeping the brown and red at the top. If you have the skills, the colour needs to be more subtle. You obviouly just blurred what was there, but if I had just seen V2, without seeing V1, I'd have wondered why you put brown and red into your vignette. I hope you understand that. Fine image nonetheless.

Yes Pamela I do understand.

I didnt add the brown and red. It is the colouring of the branches & leaves. I could have and perhaps should have cloned that colour out. I thought it complimented the spider to keep that bit of colour in though.

Again I didnt apply vignette. I used something called "fancy focus" on an app called picnik.

Thank you for you opinion. I am taking it on board! Grin

V1 for me it gives an identity to the 'place' it tells more of a story! All are great images V3 very simplistic

Hey, V3 is great, Antoinette, and the framing is far more subtle, too. Well done.
I forgot to say that I like the spider's shadow.
