It rained most of last night. I dropped my son off at school this morning, came home and decided to take some more "rain on grass" shots. YES that's a blade of grass!
I personally love the lime green burst where the blade curls up, it showcases the fine hairs on the underside of the blade of grass nicely I believe. What is your honest opinion on this image?
I like it for all the reasons you mention, all the colour but the water droplet as a mono look to it. - gary
Beautiful and lovely image, very well done,
Sorry Gary what do you mean?
Most of the image is in colour but the centre of the water droplet looks black and white which makes it stand out nicely.
Excellent shot! It makes a great abstract!
Great shot, well captured..
This confirms that I must buy me a macro lens, Antoinette! Very fine close-up shot showing details which I for one would never see with the unaided eye (or even two).
Oh I knew what mono is Gary, but I didnt alter the image at all other than cropping and a little adjusting.
I didnt change the drop colour at all.
Lucky this is exactly how it was taken
I love that my camera, even though it isnt so fancy, that it has two macro setting in-built.
My camera is perfect for me to learn on.
Thank you Ronnie.
Thank you everyone!
Wonderful magnification in the rain droplet, Antoinette, a superb macro. Raining here this morning Carol
Thank you Carol. Rained softly all night long here. I dont think it will rain tonight, its 6.30pm and so far so good. We are having the screwiest summer weather.
A beautiful and intriguing abstract.
Thank you so much Dave
Love this close up shot the colours and details are fantastic
Greatly appreciated Susan
Love this macro image, so crisp, excellent capture!
Well I never did......as the saying goes. If you had not told us what it was, I would have assumed it was something to do with a cactus. You have captured outstanding detail, that most of us would never know existed (me included) and as Gary mentioned the fact that the light has refracted through the droplet to create a mono section is brilliant, nature is so clever. Ann
The sole reason I stated that is is indeed a blade of grass, it because I uploaded it to face book first and a friend asked if it was cactus. I thought, you know what people are going to ask as it does look like it...lol.
Thank you Ann for your kind words.
Thank you Brian
Wow Antoinette !! What an amazingly superb shot! I totally agree with Gary! Now I am Jealous!
Thank you Brenda, you are too kind
