A Pair of Green Woodpeckers have been visiting the neighbours garden over the last few days. I'd set up my hide to photography the rabbits but always worth pressing the shutter when the opportunity lands right in front of you!

Both birds did perch in a couple of tree a few feet from the hide but they were too close for the lens I had fitted!

The thing on the end of it's beak is a little bug that it was feeding on.

Nice shot and detail. They always seem to get muddy beaks. Can apprecite the frustration, not have a shorter lens fitted. Mike
