This is the building that set me off in search of old Swansea. It featured in several postcards from the Edwardian period, but I had no recollection of it, and assumed it had either been demolished or destroyed in the Blitz. I was astonished to find that parts of it still existed.

The postcard (attached as a version) was taken from an upper floor in a pub / hotel, which still exists, but there was no one there who could give me permission to shoot from there. This is just about the only ground level angle you can get all the frontage in.
