Morning Rays

By cabinfever
I didn't have to go too far to get today's image.
I just stood up and there it was.

Calling to me.

The view from my window.

No time to get a better camera, longer lens, tripod. Even the battery for the crappy wee compact was on charge. A frantic rush to get the battery installed and I was rewarded with this.

It's no masterpiece but I love it.
Straight out of the compact with only resizing and sharpening in Photoshop - which kept the EXIF, yay.

Now, better start getting to grips with all this levels and curves pallaver.....

Any tips...... anyone?

Timing is everything.
People sit for hours waiting and you stand up and look out the window ................ that is the way I like to take landscapes.

I would be tempted to crop off 2/3rds of the top cloud

Yeah, but I've been looking out that window for nigh on twenty three years.......
I agree, a wee bit off the top would be better.
