This is the Caterpillar of the Largest moth in the world, "The Atlas Moth" who's wingspan is around 300mm (thats about a foot in old money !!) Great ain't he!

He certainly is great Alan.
Love the detail, especially with his tail having been cropped giving the illusion there's much more to follow.

Thanks very much all for your kind comments, by the way Suey, my wife likes the blue thingies as well LOL. They're there to ward off predators by making it look prickley and poisonous. My god....I'm turning into a "bug" anorack!!
