marsh flowers

A bit of a challenge for Mavis. I haven't a clue what they are, but they grow in our pond and they're beautiful

No problem dear boy xxx They are Kaffir Lilies or Schitzostylis coccinea.I'm not swearing honest. They are so beautiful . You have captured them so well . I'm quite surprised they grow in the pond !! I had some but I think my Gardener?? dug them up . I'd give you two clicks if I could .x

Thanks Stewart, and Shane much appreciated. Thank you too Mavis for the info and the kind comment. When we bought them a couple of years ago, the pot had a label on it in latin no good to me, I can only speak German, French, Italian and English (I struggle with the latter LOL) and it said they liked it wet, so I dumped the pot on a shelf in the pond and they've been there ever since :O)

What a beautiful shot Alan. Love their colour, which you've really emphasised with the black border.
