I love the atmosphere and so conducive for study..
The last book I read (nearly 2 months ago).. Remains of the Day.. Kazuo Ishiguro..
I liked it a great deal.. Such humbling simplicity.. Life of a butler.. Very inspiring..

My initial impression, if I'm honest, was that this was a model setup, i.e. not real Smile There's a really odd perspective (that I like) and the furniture and utensils seem so pristine they could almost be out of a doll's house ... but the guy himself looks real ... so now I don't know!

There's something odd about it, but I can't for the life of me figure out what ... I did wonder whether you'd superimposed the bloke, but if you have then it's incredibly well done. The shadows are perfect (which, if they're real, of course they would be ...)

Then I thought that was an immaculately clean and uncluttered kitchen for a farm and/or farmer ... I've been in a few over the years, and they sure didn't look like this ...

Then I thought what the hell ... I like it.
I don't care where or how it's done, it's good Grin

Thanks Tanya - you're a star. You're spot on - it is my first attempt at a composite image as part of a wee project. I made the room and 'furnished' it with miniature dolls house stuff. I wasn't happy with the look of this so I've since darkened the bloke (me!), added some more shadow and applied a slight blur to the back wall. I'll post that version this evening.
Fully take on board the comments about things looking too clean/tidy - i'll work on that aspect in the next shot.
Value your opinion,
Ian.

Wow ... in that case, it's incredibly well done indeed Grin I knew there was something, but your technique is flamin' good on it was hard to figure it. I've been toying with the whole doll's house furniture thing myself for a while, so when I get round to that project, I'll be revisiting this image of yours for inspiration!

I am seriously impressed Grin
