St. George

By cameraboy
Taken on my school trip to Valkenburg in the municipal caves. Even though it may not look like it, it's actually a 3D statue. The tour guide told us that three men made the whole statue in only three days! If you look carefully you can see their names and the date enscribed underneath the statue. The black background was added to make more depth to the statue and to make it look more realistic although no matter what angle you take the photo at, you can never really see the full effect as the print is only 2D and you cannot see the depth. You have to actually go and see it with your eyes. Lots more cave paintings to come KEEP VISITING!
