Two's Company

By cameracat
Hi Folks,

Just to show that I do photograph subjects other than cats, The first of a few snaps taken whilst out walking with my cats Grin

This one needs to be viewed full size as the small size really screws the detail. Sad

I'm no expert, So what we have here is a couple of Butterfly's caught in the light of a late afternoon ( 17-00 or 5pm time ) summer sun, 2013.

The shot was taken hand held with a fairly high ISO, To be honest the location would have made it pretty much impossible to set-up and use a tripod, That said I prefer to go looking for stuff like this by travelling light and capturing whatever I see in an instant, Plus I have to keep an eye on the moggies who are never very far from me Smile

Not much in the way of post work as there is really no need, It's funny how the colour schemes in nature go so well together Wink

More of the same later perhaps.
Regards
Vince

Two gorgeous Small Tortoiseshells - I really like the fact you've stood back and included some of their surroundings!

Thank you Karen & Chris, I have looked at this image for some time, I tried a few closer crop versions that I quite liked, But for some reason I was drawn back to this the original take, Something just said it looked right.

Kinda fits with that Chris, For all our fashion conscious species can muster, Nature is the true master...Smile

LOL As usual Smile Impeccably , Though the shot of Pixel chasing butterfly's through long grass did not quite happen, Her royal person and big bro Ziggy spent ages dangling from various small trees.

Cats for youWink
