    Quote:45 mm and sooo close?

Don't fotget that with a 4/3 camera, 45mm is the equivalent of 90mm on a full frame camera

Quote:Have you discovered the "insects and Small Animals Group" yet?

Yes, I have looked at it a few times.

I am subscribed to several groups, but, to be honest, they really seem to be a waste of time. There is rarely a comment left on any photo in any group I've seen, so I think that to get any reaction to your work you need to upload to the main galleries.

I suppose many of the current users would have served their time using such instruments.
And Rob, if you load any pics you take in the Macro goup we can easily compare notes and ideas.

    Hi Mark,

I am looking forward to the dome being complete. They say work will start end of autumn.

This was the first time I had a look around the gardens. There should have been butterflies and other insects by the dozen. But there were very few.

Ade, you must be much sweeter than I am, they don't usually (crossed fingers, touch wood/head) bother with me at all.

Sorry, Ade, I never willingly kill anything.

Mind you, there are some people who could easily cause me to change my mind.

It's a good job I am not a gardener, my wife is though. I wondered why she was making a fuss.

  • The Yellow Sea

Thanks for all your comments and clicks.

I am not sure that desaturating the background would give the everything yellow look that I want. Maybe, if the main flowerhead was slightly backlit, perhaps with a pinch of flash, it would separate it from the bachground without changing the colour.

Don't like flies, scared of spiders, are you man or mouse, sir?

Thanks for your comments. I am fascinated by insects especially when close up and parts not normally seen become visible. Keeps me amused for hours.
