One of the old cranes used for quarrying on the Isle of Portland, along with a conveniently positioned boat. It was a very windy day with gusts up to 60mph, so the ropes were blowing about and it wasn't possible to use a long exposure. Instead I have added motion blur to the sea and sky in the post processing.
Went out to Portland Bill on a coach trip from Weymouth back in February - it was a relatively calm day, until we got to the lighthouse, where it was really a strong chilly wind! A very fine capture here, Carol, works very well in mono :)
