The Sultan

I had to shoot this from a long distance as the area where this stag and his harem were seen was well fenced off. I would have preferred to get a bit closer to improve the perspective but it was not possible. I have tried various crops and don't like any of them so I'm presenting the entire frame in the hope that someone can suggest an improvement.

Looks good to me! It's a bit of a pain when trying to get a good shot only to find you can't get close enough. You should try asking the staff to take you closer, they sometimes are happy to help.

Finding staff to ask in Wollaton Park is not easy. In any case there are conspicuous notices warning against approaching the deer in the rutting season. Maybe next time...
