Thanks for the critique on my first attempt at mono conversion all very helpful advice and mods.
Thought "red" might be a fitting theme for tonight Have entered these in a special subjects competition at our camera club, who knows they might do well.

V1 a reworking of an image from last year , with more space around the poppy.
V2Another shot of a fly agaric from a few weeks ago , just as I was about to move on there was a brief glimmer of sunlight giving some nice light on the shroom.
V3Also a a reworked shot of what I think is a meadowhawk dragonfly fitting in with my theme of red.

A trio of excellent captures Mary. Lovely clarity, detail and colours in all, but V1 is particularly exquisite, especially with those glistening water droplets. Beautiful work.

3 very different close-up shots, Mary, each of which could stand on it's own, but V 1 is the one for me: I like the vivid red against the black b/g, the water droplets and the superb detail.

wow Mary, you have the x factor here x being excellent I cannot pick a favourite as all three shots are so stunning with excellent colours and detail in their own right
