  • Houses of Parliament, London

The long exposure and toning has made a very good image from what could have been a very good record shot, nice one.

  • Julie Jean...

That 153 secs has certainly made a great image.

  • Monochrome Early Light...

V2 for me, with or without the fringe. Fringing is everywhere, I think it is in the original file and gets progressively more noticable with processing, sharpening etc. A lot depends on the make up of the image, sometimes it's hidden. Thats my excuse anyway, makes me feel better when I see it in my shots. Careful retouching can help.

  • The Teaching

Nice in mono. Quite spooky and compelling.

  • Hawk conservancy's Bald Eagle

This is a good image, could be excellent with a few tweaks if you have the software to do it. Some highlights need to be recovered if possible. A little lightening of the eye and surrounding area together with an increase of saturation of the eye would help to accentuate it. A little space above the head would be good.
    Good luck with your studies.

  • In need of repair

I think the fresh green growth coming from the decaying door is very symbolic and makes the picture.

    Oowwwwww lovely.

  • The Forgotten Sailor

This caught my eye as a thumbnail. Opening up was not a disappointment, the vingette has done its job keeping the interest on the main subject. All in all a fine image, glad I found it.

  • Dungeness Huts and Boat

This treatment was ideal for this image. Together with the composition it has given the feel of an old black & white movie set.
You have whetted my appetite for a return trip, cross fingers for tomorrow.

  • Arches

I was drawn to the lovely colours of the bricks.

  • Two Huts

Dungeness is just so photogenic and these huts are among the best parts. The composition of the two huts is good, the sky is what nature provided on the day. If a sky is not to your liking then a change of pov to reduce how much is in the frame may help. I have noticed that some of your images have been commented on as being too dark in the shadows, this is as they appear on my monitor. I checked to make sure that I can clearly define all 16 squares on the step wedge at the bottom of the page. If the viewers monitor is darker or brighter than yours it can greatly alter what is seen. I did download your image and opened up the shadows a little, and like that it looks great. It did accentuate the slight lighter halo around the huts, but this was easily fixed.
I hope this may be of assistance, keep the Dungey shots coming, love em.Smile
