Castle And Catalpa

Rochester Castle seen through the branches of the oldest Catalpa [Indian Bean] tree in England. The tree is about 150 years old. V2 is taken from the cathedral graveyard and also shows the tree.

Both very good Ivor but V2 is a keeper my man Grin Composition is magical that big diagonal really works for me ! Lovely light and that dark sky is the perfect foil GrinGrin

Prefer V1 - no doubt a deep blue sky...just think the sky in V2 is a little too dark Smile

Lovely monos, nice comps too, think V1 is my fave.
I tried what you suggestedGrin, not sure how I have done.....uploaded a variant. Think the tripod would have made it betterTongue

V1 excellent use of the bare tree adds great atmosphere and drama the diagonal of v2 is excellent both damn good fine work
