Gone Fishing

One of my favorite raptors is the magnificent Osprey. Making the long perilous journey from East Africa to nesting sites in the UK, rearing their young in all weather conditions our climate has to offer and providing us with spectacular fishing displays as they provide for the young. The thrill of hearing the distinctive screech above to the dull thud and splash as they hit the water. The underwater tussle to control their prey in their talons, before turning into the wind and exercising the magnificently powerful wings, provide the power to lift off from the water and returning to nest.
