These are all derserving of standing on their own Carol.
If I have to choose one...& that's very hard....I think I'll go for V4, & that's because of the light on his wonderful wings.
The detail is amazing in each & everyone one of these fabulous shots.

Do you find that bees tend to pay no attention to the watcher, I assume because like the photographer they are focused on one thing.

I've gone through these quite a few times, so difficult to choose a favourite but I think I've decided on v2. Excellent detail in all of them.

Superb bee macro series Carol. Fantastic detail and colours in all, but for me V5 stands out as I love the wing movement and the terrific blue sky. We thankfully had a much milder day yesterday - actually did some gardening - clearing all the winter debris etc.

Great shot but for me a little too dark. Screen blend mode in PS improve image a lot. I see little yellow cast too.

what can I say Carol........oh I know...........WOW ! The detail and clarity on these shots are nothing less than superb.I've seen some cracking shots on this site but for clarity and detail These take the biscuit, well, I'll BUZZ off now. A fantastic set of shots of this big bumble, he certainly is a whopper! The colours and detail are glorious in all. I saw the first two honeybees of the year on my visit to the Roccoco gardens last week.
